An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the world's most successful, purpose-led businesses, our client, a leading global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil and Magnum, as Quality Assistant based at their manufacturing facility in Crumlin, Caerphilly, South Wales.

This is a full-time temporary role to last for 12 months, working a 40-hour week. Depending on experience, this role is paying up to �21,675 per annum, pro rata.

The main responsibility of this role is to assist the quality team with the implementation and administration of the site's FSMS food safety management system, for compliance to FSSC 2200 Standard.

Key Accountabilities

  • Carrying out internal & pre-requisite inspections, assisting with validate & verification of quality controls and processes. Ensuring quality sampling plans are met for retained samples and sensory analysis.
  • Support the Quality, Technology & Innovation team with respect to trials and supporting data collection regarding the quality of incoming and finished goods.
  • Support updating the FSMS food safety management system maintaining compliance to FSSC 2200 Standard
  • Support to verify compliance of site operations to UL QMS through program of internal quality audits & prerequisites.
  • Support the implementation of sites prerequisite program & HACCP Plan.
  • Supports the implementation and verification of procedures to control non-conforming materials and products - support quality improvement projects.
  • Compliance with site Quality standards and procedures.
  • Perform the calibration of all laboratory equipment and balances within the factory.
  • Sending samples away for microbial and chemical analysis, recording results when received.
  • Assisting FSSC22000 audits when required.
  • Assist in change controls on standard operating procedures and forms.

Key Skills Required

  • Must be used to looking at paperwork and documentation
  • Competence in standard Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Need to be organised and diligent
  • Experience with auditing process beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Food Safety management systems would be an advantage.
  • Production experience would be an advantage.
  • HACCP experience would be helpful

Driving licence and access to own vehicle would be an advantage as public transport to site is limited.
