Quality and Environmental Manager required to join a well-established company that specialise in CNC machining and offer services to a variety of industries including Aerospace and F1.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a manager with an in-depth working knowledge of IS0 9001 and an understanding of the AS/EN9100 aerospace additions. However, a solid background in a machining/CNC environment or precision mechanical engineering is essential, due to the company quality control measures.

Quality and Environmental Manager Position Overview

  • Ensuring that all customer specifications are met and maintained, that Quality Planning and process documentation is organised.
  • Understand and direct the creation, controls, and input of data from, drawings, standards, and specifications into the company MRP, for use in Process Control Sheets, batch routing and FAIR's.
  • Ensure that customer complaints are validated and that corrective actions are robust using common quality tools such as 8D and 5 whys.
  • Monitor quality KPIs and construct a monthly report/review.
  • Ensure procedures are updated and developed to achieve best practice.
  • Monitor and ensure the system audit schedules (Quality & Environmental) are maintained.
  • Monitor supplier's performance and assist the Buyer with approval ratings.
  • Administer applications for concessions, waivers, and production permits.

Quality and Environmental Manager Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Quality Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, etc.).
  • A background of Defence, Aerospace and F1
  • Engineered metallic components (turned / milled) or related aerospace background.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management standards (ISO 9001) and environmental management standards (ISO 14001).
  • Familiarity with CNC machining processes and industry-specific quality requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement
  • Reading and understanding technical drawings and specifications.
  • Quality inspection, precision measuring equipment with CMM methods/knowledge an advantage.
  • Knowledge of AS9102 FAIR completion. Meticulous approach to measurement, comparison with standards and monitoring of processes.

Quality and Environmental Manager Position Remuneration

  • Full time - Permanent position
  • 39-hr week Monday to Friday - Hours-08.30am - 5.00pm (phone number removed) Fridays).
  • Salary bracket - �50,000 - �55,000 (DOE)
  • Competitive holiday allowance
