Child and Family Social Worker - Full time opportunity available on a temporary contract basis.

The Social Care Community Partnership are currently recruiting for a Social Workeer with experience of working in Children's Services for our Client in the Duns area of the Scottish Borders. The contract on offer is for around 6 months but could be longer.

Salary: £24- £30ph PAYE and accrued Holidays and Pension

The working pattern is from Monday to Friday office hours and is office based.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Experience of working in Children's Services
  • Degree in Social Work is required
  • SSSC registration
  • Abiity for report writing and assessing information

This role is a unique role working within a team and will involve the following specific duties:

  • Carrying out child protection investigations and managing CP plans
  • Assessment work on children and families, also other types of assessment such as kinship
  • May involve some work with looked after children, including care planning
  • Attending Reviews and Children's Hearings
  • Being on Duty around one week per month
