Qualified Health & Safety Compliance Officer£45k + Benefitss + Excellent ProspectsBolton. 40hr week.Client summary & activity:Our client operates successfully within the pharma-chem sector & therefore runs within a highly regulated environment. The H&S responsibility straddles large scale warehouse operations [ambient & cool-chain] through to consumer supply across a network of regulated stores.Who do we need?As the operation grows there is an urgent need for a Qualified Health & Safety Compliance Officer, ideally with a NEBOSH International Diploma/Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.Flexible approach to work including occasional out of hours workingExcellent track record of H&S, ideally in a regulated / heavily audited environmentFlexible on travel to sites, approx. 1 day per week.You must hold a full UK driving licence and have full use of your own vehicle. Excellent IT skillsExceptional communication skills at all levels with the ability to influence and engage others on health and safety best practice.Role Summary:To review, maintain & develop all Health & Safety policies and proceduresAdvise accordingly and lawfully on all subject matter to keep the business, its employees and customers safe.Ensure best safety practice via Regional managers throughout the branch networkEnsure best safety practice in the Bolton Head Office, which includes the offices, Warehouse and Distribution centre and an onsite processing Hub.Liaise with external bodies such as enforcement authorities as well as suppliers of any new equipment, vehicles or machinery as well as colleagues at all levels within the organisation.Conduct accident investigations and risk assessmentsEnsure the entire workforce is adequately trained in all aspects of safety such as manual handling, FLT practices and fire safety.This is a fantastic opportunity – we look forward to your application.
