Qualified Greenkeeper | Oxted, RH8 | Full Time | From £25,000 + benefits per year depending on experience / qualifications

Created in 1889, our client is one of the oldest golf clubs in England.

This is an excellent opportunity to continue to write new chapters in the history of a club and course that has been loved by so many for 130 years.

Nestling among the beautiful countryside of Limpsfield, the club boasts a par 70, (slope rating 116) 9-hole course with 18 different tees as well as a clubhouse, which has often been described as a hidden gem!

As a Qualified Greenkeeper, you will be working closely with the head Green Keeper to ensure all areas of the golf course and grounds are maintained to the highest standards.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, qualified, Greenkeeper, but we would encourage applications from candidates with 1-2 years’ experience.

The successful candidate will earn £25,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits are available with ongoing support and training.

Are you the right person for the job?

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
• Good hands-on experience, preferably from a green keeping, gardening or landscaping background
• Experience in operating machinery an advantage although not essential as training will be given
• A practical mindset with a hands-on approach to hard work, and pride in presenting the best facility possible

What will your role as a Qualified Greenkeeper look like?

• Setting up the golf course in accordance with the Rules of Golf, including changing holes, raking bunkers, moving tee markers, Drop zones and hazards
• Cutting all playing surfaces to a high, presentable standard, including tees, greens, surrounds, fairways and rough
• Switch and brush greens, apply top dressing and fertiliser, identify/control pests and diseases, and renovate worn and damaged turf
• Prepare and maintain machinery
