We are currently seeking a QS / Estimator to join our Civils, Highways and Streetlighting contractor to be based near Amersham. The role comes with a salary of �60,000 plus generous benefits package, including genuine opportunity to progress your career!

As the QS / Estimator, you will be responsible for providing support on bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers. Also preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done. The successful applicants will require industry experience in one of the following:�Civils, Highways OR Streetlighting.
Responsibilities for QS / Estimator:
  • Responsible for all Commercial aspects of projects.
  • Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour and equipment.
  • Provide support to the tendering process.
  • Liaise with clients, senior staff and�Directors.
  • Manage, support, and provide development to the Commercial Team.
  • Anticipate changes with the project.
  • Prepare the project procurement schedule.
  • Ensure materials are delivered and ready on site.
  • Work with the supply chain team to ensure cost and quality are maintained.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports.
  • Planning and management of own work and the Commercial Team.
  • Identify, manage, reduce, and drive out unnecessary costs.
  • Make sure projects budgets and deadlines are met.
  • Prepare work packages.

Requirements for QS / Estimator:
  • Maintain a high level of Commercial and Technical knowledge.
  • Detailed knowledge of financial reporting.
  • Experience is ESSENTIAL in at least one of these: Civils / Highways / Streetlighting.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Full UK driving license.
