A permanent QHSE Manager, which can be based at any Osprey office with the requirement to travel nationally for fulfil the role.

Your new role
The QHSE Manager will provide QHSE support across all aspects of Osprey, working closely with the operations and site teams to ensure compliance with the company’s QHSE Management system.
The QHSE Manager is accountable for:
Promoting company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, sub-contractors and other external contacts.
Supporting the development of a strong health and safety-focused culture across the group.
Having extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and best practices to assist with compliance and continuous improvement.
Delivering metrics to monitor, assess and review company performance on QHSE.
Liaising with employees, subcontractors and suppliers on QHSE matters as required.
Communicating within the company, full-circle feedback on QHSE learning, best practice and regulation developments.
Coaching and developing employees on the QHSE management system and its content.
Working closely with the QHSE Director to ensure the organisation's QHSE strategy is current and implemented.
Developing tools and processes to support the company’s activities.
Communicating QHSE performance effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
Engaging across the sites, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
Conducting training, toolbox talks, inductions and investigating incidents where required.
Monitoring and supporting risk management across all company activities.
Managing the QHSE audit programme to ensure a pro-active approach is applied.
Providing specialist guidance to project managers on complex operational activities.
Assessing and managing multiple large-scale projects.
What you’ll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have/be:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience
Heavy industry experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Dynamic and flexible
Experience of working with ISO standards and high-level management systems
Experience of working with high level clients
Basic awareness of planning/logistics processes
Ability to deal effectively with internal and external industry stakeholders
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (computer literacy)
Exceptional organisational skills
Administration skills
High level of self-motivation and self-management ability
Good communication skills – written and verbal
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to be able to work autonomously
Ability to learn new techniques and procedures
Ability to invent and propose new methods of work/modifications to existing systems
Ability to organise teams to ensure the best outcome is achieved
Current full UK driving licence
