Job title: QHSE Manager Location: Scale Space, 58 Wood Lane, London W12 7RZ Hours: 40 hours per week Salary: £65,000-£75,000The opportunity.... Continue the development and maintenance a strong health and safety culture company-wide, ensuring all staff understand the importance of safety protocols.
Ensure full compliance with regulations, maintain the highest safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in all health, safety, and environmental aspects of our company Implement and oversee the Quality and Environmental standards and processes. Regularly review and update quality and environmental documentation, ensuring processes remain effective and meet compliance requirements.
Conduct detailed audits of our health and safety protocols, and systems. Your goal is to ensure compliance, effective implementation, and continuous improvement across these critical areas.Offer technical expertise to the laboratory manager, and guide and support them to cultivate an environment where the team is encouraged to take ownership of their roles, fostering continuous improvement and a focus on both personal and operational excellenceWhat you’ll need to be successful... We're looking for a candidate with experience in health and safety management, in a laboratory environment with a focus on chemistry or related fields. A strong understanding of lab-specific risks will be required. Additionally, qualifications like NEBOSH are highly valued.
To be successful in this role leadership experience is essential. You will enjoy bringing people together and fostering a culture where quality, safety, and taking care of the environment are top priorities.
You will also be approachable and collaborative, fostering a no-blame culture that encourages learning from incidents and near misses.
We're seeking someone who has practical experience in implementing or managing QMS and EMS systems in a laboratory setting. Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards would be a distinct advantage.
