Job Description QC Day Analyst
Major Talent are partnered with a global player within the flavours and ingredients space, and we are looking to recruit an experienced QC Day Analyst
based at their site in County Durham. Experience within flavours and/or fragrances is advantageous. What is important is your passion and hunger for a rewarding career. As a QC Day Analyst
you will be responsible supporting the team to ensure the department provides the best possible service to its internal and external customers. Shift 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, this position will also be covering shifts, so potential for weekends and evenings Responsibilities of a QC Day Analyst
Work along side and support the QC Coordinator and Technical Analyst to oversee the day to day running of the laboratory Provide shift/holiday cover as required Analysis of raw materials and products and recording of test results Ensure samples are processed through QC within the desired time period and priorities are managed Calibrate, develop methods and standardise all equipment and chemicals in line with Quality Systems Review potential supplier specifications Process out of specification and concessional release paperwork Undertake relevant analysis in respect to complaints Stock Management Maintain QC documentation Provide planned and reactive instrument maintenanceMethod development of new and existing productsComplete QC projects
Skills Required to be a QC Shift Analyst
Minimum Degree Level Chemistry (or equivalent) Laboratory based analytical experience Experience of GLC, , GCMS, titrations and other wet chemistry analysis is essential. Method development and validation is desirable. Good laboratory practice. Capable of working under own initiative and as part of a team.
