When you were little everyone asked you “what do you want to be when you grow up?”.

I bet you said Astronaut, Singer, Cowboy. I always wanted to be a fish– until I realised humans cannot suddenly hit the age of 16 and turn into an animal...So I ended up in recruitment and I had no idea of the true potential the food industry can offer people.

There is no getting away from the fact it is a really tough gig working hard to keep the retailers happy, keeping your QA's motivated and keeping the product quality to a high standard. But you have mastered it, you are the un-sung hero of the business, or maybe you aren't recognised for what you do? Which has led you to look for something new... 

We're working on behalf of a multi-site business in the West Midlands who are on the look out for their very own 'un-sung hero'. For this one you will only be based at the one site so no travelling is involved. 

You will be closely involved with the UK’s biggest and main retailers, along with being provided the tools to grow and expand your knowledge further. You will have a small team of QA’s reporting into you so having a background within people management is essential going forward. 

You will have a strong shop floor presence and being able to make quick and effective decisions will be part and parcel, for that reason, you will need to be comfortable in a fast moving environment. Specific product experience isn't essential, but your desire to push the team in the right direction with the correct approach is!
