Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious QA Manager to join their business.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a Food professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team to ensure adherence to technical standards, procedures, and HACCP requirements.
* Develop and implement monitoring systems to drive continuous improvement in food safety and quality standards.
* Conduct thorough investigations, including root cause analysis, for non-conformances and customer complaints.
* Prepare for and manage both internal and customer audits effectively.
* Generate technical reports and analyse data to identify areas for improvement and drive performance initiatives.
* Oversee the implementation and validation of new and current processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
* Foster a culture of right-first-time practices and prioritise team safety through risk assessments and training.
* Manage pest control measures and ensure equipment calibration to maintain quality standards.
* Collaborate closely with Operations and other internal teams to minimise customer complaints and risks to food safety.
* Cultivate strong relationships with external stakeholders, including Environmental Health Officers, trading standards, customers, and laboratories.
