Our client, a leading specialist in the environmental sciences sector, is expanding the team and looking for a dedicated Python Software Developer to work on delivering new features and maintain the existing suite of tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborating with the development team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications.
Ensuring a reliable, stable, and secure production environment in cooperation with the operations team. Staying updated with the latest development software.
Actively participating in back-end development for certain products.
Guaranteeing the quality of work through testing and proper documentation.
Your Skills:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
Experience in commercial development and delivering client requirements
Solid understanding of Git and strong Python programming skills
Familiarity with automated tooling for continuous integration
Comprehensive knowledge of the full development lifecycle
Preferable (but not essential) Experience:
Geospatial data processing
Anaconda
AWS
Docker
JavaScript
Node
Web protocols

Remote work in the UK, with very occasional visits to East Midlands or London offices
