Job DescriptionAlbany Beck are hiring for a Python Developer to work on a long term programme of work with a leading provider of financial market intelligence, ratings, benchmarks, and analytics to the global capital and commodity markets.As a Python Developer you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining advanced data processing and analysis solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize Python-based applications, with a particular emphasis on utilizing Airflow and also pandas for efficient data manipulation and analytics. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the transformation of their business through the application of innovative technologies.Responsibilities:Develop robust, scalable, and maintainable Python applications tailored to the needs of our insurance operations.Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Working with Product team to integrate financial products of external clients, manage data flows, source market data and analyse financial algorithms.Utilize Pandas for data processing, transformation, and analysis tasks, ensuring high performance and accuracy.Implement data pipelines for ingesting, cleansing, and transforming large volumes of structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and optimization, driving efficiency and effectiveness in insurance processes.Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability.Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in Python, Airflow, pandas, and data engineering, and incorporate them into our development practices.QualificationsProven experience as a Python Developer, with a strong focus on data processing and analytics.Solid understanding of pandas for data manipulation and analysis in big data environments.Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating relational databases.Strong Airflow experienceStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Experience in the financial services industry is advantageous.
