£22,000 – £27,000 per year – dependent on experienceOur client, a well-established manufacturer and supplier, based in the West Midlands area, currently has the need for a Purchasing Officer to join their team at their Head Office based in Dudley. The Successful Purchasing Officer will have experience within a Purchasing role, be fast thinking, have great attention to detail, and be able to build relationships with suppliers.What’s on offer?£22,000 – £27,000 per year – dependent on experienceMon – Thur: 7:45am to 4.45pm Fri: 7:45am to 1:45pm (every other Friday off)Free onsite parkingPension SchemeBranded Clothing ItemsLife AssuranceEmployee Assistance ProgrammeKey Responsibilities of the Role:Maintain relationships and negotiate with suppliersDealing with supplier queriesAnswering the phone, and email queries and providing general office support where requiredConstant daily communication with other managers and teams to determine supply needs and timeframes required for the day and proactively for the week/monthPurchase and schedule material supplies according to specificationsAssist in forecasting to plan future ordersSupporting Production/Warehouse/Goods In with queries and stock levelsRaw Material delivery and receiptLiaise with the Sales team and assist with Bills of Materials for new productsAttend daily Production meetingsAny additional and reasonable tasks requested by management which may be necessaryThe Successful Candidate:Proven experience within a similar capacity – desirabelePrevious experience in manufacturing industry – desirableFamiliarity with supply chain and inventory management systemsUnderstanding of forecasting and budgetingAbility to work off own initiativeProficient in MS OfficeAbility to react quickly and think outside the box to resolve issues; a problem-solverStrong communication skills – written and verbalFocus on continuous improvement in a positive and innovative mannerOutgoing personality and ability to easily build rapport at any levelGood time management and ability to prioritise workload quicklyAdaptable to change and able to integrate easilyJob Information
