We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to implement the procurement function within a thriving and high growth business based in Leicester. They are known for their commitment to fostering a 'can-do' culture and focus on creating a supportive and engaging work environment.DescriptionThe Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing the business to achieve best practice and add value across the Supply Chain. In conjunction with the wider business, you will be responsible for developing purchasing strategies and sourcing initiatives across all categories.Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business resultsCreate, review and challenge processes within the department and company to ensure it is value-addedSupplier capacity reviews to support any new or on-going business requirementsPreparing reports and presentations for senior managementIdentification and implementation of cost saving opportunitiesBuilding long term business relationships and partnering with reliable vendors and suppliersPerforming strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spendAbility to make systematic and logical judgements with an attention to detail and having a high degree of accuracyProfileThe successful candidate will have proven ability to foster and develop a procurement function along with implementing new processes and developing ways of working.Self-confident - able to rely on their own judgementDemonstrable experience of leading a purchasing functionGood commercial awareness and acumenFlexible and adaptableExcellent communication skills, clear and concise written and verbal skill, with demonstrated skills of negotiation and influencing at all stakeholder levelsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross functionally and as part of a teamJob OfferSalary up to £70,000 +car + other benefitsA supportive and engaging work environmentOpportunities for professional growth and development including CIPSWe invite all interested Purchasing Managers who meet the above criteria to apply for this exciting opportunity in Leicester
