We currently have an opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant to join an established and successful manufacturing organisation based in North Yorkshire. �The role would suit someone with some purchasing/procurement experience, keen to build the knowledge and experience.

As the Purchasing Assistant you will be responsible for:�
- Facilitating import and export clearance processes
- Collaborating with supply chain within ERP to secure raw material availability and maintain stock accuracy
- Strategising purchasing plans and executing order placements
- Monitoring and tracing purchase orders
- Securing favourable pricing and negotiating terms & conditions
- Sustaining and updating Suppliers Database
- Coordinating with regulatory and quality teams for product and supplier approvals
- Cultivating strong partnerships with current and prospective suppliers

The ideal Purchasing Assistant will have experience within a similar role. You should be highly numerate and have good communication and organisational skills. Excellent IT skills are also essential in particular MS Excel
