We are proud to working alongside our client, a well-established national organisation with their search for a Purchasing Administrator to be based on site in Shrewsbury



What does the role involve?






  • Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and place purchase orders

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock

  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand their purchasing needs and requirements

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules

  • Track orders and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise

  • Monitor supplier performance and address any concerns or quality issues

  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service

  • Provide backup for customer orders when needed





Your Experience






  • Proven experience as a Purchaser or in a similar procurement role

  • Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes

  • Proficient in using procurement systems and tools

  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms and pricing

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate supplier capabilities and performance

  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
