I am currently recruiting for a Purchase to Pay Associate to join an outstanding organisation based in Wrexham on a temporary contract. Reporting to the head of Accounts Payable, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire Purchase Order flow including any follow up or issue resolution. The role will suit someone with a background in accounts payable, strong systems and Excel knowledge or with a keen interest in data.

This is initially a temporary contract lasting 6-12 months with the possibility of being made permanent after this period.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Convert Purchase Requisition into Purchase Order in SAP for all relevant companies
  • Follow all compliance checks documented in SOP
  • Manage end-user requests for new Supplier set-ups. Perform any administrative and compliance checks as required in the New Supplier Creation Process
  • Retain ownership of the end-to-end supplier set-up process
  • Execute additions or updates to vendor master data in a timely manner
  • Follow defined internal control procedures pertaining to vendor master data management
  • Verify and perform vendor mass update requests
  • Perform quality checks for existing master data and propose remedial actions
  • Identify and escalate any task that exceeds set timeframes to reduce impact on other departments
  • Receive, log and resolve relevant telephone and e-mail queries and enquiries whether internal or external. Seek support from other Ipsen employees as required, whilst maintaining ownership of the query
  • Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies with Budget Holders, End Users and Procurement.
  • Ad hoc support where required

Desired skills and experience

  • SAP experience - desirable
  • Continuous improvement experience
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint competency
  • Be a team player who can operate effectively within process and procedures
  • Strong inter-personal skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the business, including senior managers.
  • Good time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Be confident to make suggestions for improvement
  • Adopt a professional attitude and appreciate the confidentiality of some aspects of the role
  • Degree or equivalent technical experience in a business related subject
