Hero Recruitment is currently looking for a�Purchase Manager / Document Controller� to work on-going (permanent) for one of our clients in Manchester.





Job Description:



Purchase Manager / Document Controller main functions and responsibilities are:




  • Maintaining records of goods ordered and received;

  • Searching suppliers of services, materials and equipment, and interviewing them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales;

  • Preparing and process requisitions for supplies and equipment;

  • Controlling purchase department budgets;

  • Reviewing purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy;

  • Analyzing market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability;

  • Developing and implementing purchases and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures;

  • Participating in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials;

  • Resolving vendor or contractor complaints, and claims against suppliers;

  • Representing companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers;

  • Reviewing, evaluating, and approving specifications for issuing and awarding bids;

  • Directing and coordinating activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies;

  • Preparing bid awards requiring board approval;

  • Administering on-line purchasing systems;

  • Arranging for disposal of surplus materials;

  • Provisioning Control (new consultations and control the costs of existing consultations);

  • Advising on procurement strategy;

  • Coping, scanning and storing documents;

  • Checking for accuracy and editing files, like contracts;

  • Reviewing and update technical documents (e.g. manuals and workflows);

  • Distributing project-related copies to internal teams;

  • Filing documents in physical and digital records;

  • Retrieving files as requested by employees and clients;

  • Managing the flow of documentation within the organization;

  • Responsible for the procurement of hire plant and transport;

  • Submitting enquiries to suppliers based on material requisitions and design specifications;

  • Placing orders with approved suppliers;

  • Maintaining confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement.



Salary: �28K Annum�
