Central Employment is assisting one of its long-standing clients, a leading manufacturing company based in Cramlington, in their search for a Purchase Ledger Clerk. This is a permanent position with a 37-hour workweek, including 8:00 am-4:30 pm shifts from Monday to Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch break. On Fridays, work hours are 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, and there is no lunch break. The company offers 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, with a general two-week shutdown in the summer and three days required for the Christmas shutdown.
Responsibilities: Processing purchase ledger invoices (550-600 per month)Corresponding with suppliers by phone and email regarding payment dates and other queriesConducting ad hoc analyses in ExcelRunning monthly payment run proposals for review with the Finance Manager.As the Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be part of a team of three, which includes the Finance Manager and Assistant Accountant.
