Public Works Facility Supervisor

This is a working management position. The incumbent will be expected to support the Field Supervisor in the allocation of resources to complete daily tasks and then support team members where needed in the field, completing physical labor and operating equipment.The person filling this position is responsible for the efficient and effective administration, operation, and maintenance of Parks, Cemetery, Fleet, Streets, Splash Zone Aquatic Center, and Building Maintenance divisions within the Public Works Department. The incumbent works cooperatively with the various maintenance teams, Field Supervisor, and Utilities Supervisor to develop plans and procedures to ensure effective operations of their divisions and recommends specifications for major equipment and material purchases, improvement, and additions.Responsible for, and exercises direct authority over all Parks, Cemetery, Fleet, Streets, and Building Maintenance functions, operations, and personnel per approved policies and procedures. Inspects facilities regularly, analyzes and evaluates operational effectiveness, identifies maintenance opportunities, initiates, and makes recommendations for new assets, and improved best practices.
