Position: VAC0077 Public Relations Specialist Location: London Salary: 43,483.99pa and defined Contribution Pension Scheme Contract: Permanent, full time, 35 hours per week Benefits: Generous Travel Allowance up to £3600pa. 25 days annual leave, plus 8 Bank Holidays. Closing Date: 1 May 2024
About the Role
We are looking for a Public Relations Specialist to promote the work and mission of the organisation at home and overseas and to seek thought leadership and profiling opportunities for The General and other International Leaders.
The role is based in modern offices close to the Millennium Bridge, with flexible working options available after successful completion of a probationary period.
About You
This will be an exciting, exacting and sometimes demanding role, requiring experience and a highly organised, professional approach. Ideally you will have a degree in Public Relations (or related subject) with experience in a professional related working environment or have relevant experience in a professional public relations role, most likely in-house. You will be possessed of excellent media relations skills and experience.
You will have:
Exceptional story-telling and writing capabilities.
An outstanding command of the English language.
Highly competent interview skills and be able to tease out the subtle nuances of human interest stories whilst treating your interviewee with respect and dignity.
The ability to manage several projects simultaneously whilst hitting deadlines and enjoy collaborating with colleagues.
Evidence of continuing professional development will be an advantage.
The charity are a close-knit and expanding communications team working in an international context with a global audience. Some international travel may be required.
