Do you want to make a difference in pupils' health and well-being through the food they eat at school?If yes, we have the perfect role for you!Our public health team is recruiting a Public Health Policy & Programme Officer to help make a positive impact on pupils' health and support families during the cost of living crisis.About the Role:The successful candidate for this post will further develop secondary school meals policy and lead the delivery of a Secondary School Meals Transformation Programme over the next two academic years, making a positive impact on pupils’ health, sustainability and supporting families with the cost of living crisis.You will support the delivery of a resilient, efficient, and nutrition-focused school food system. Your work will help inspire change, boost knowledge, skills and confidence, and make it easier for schools and their caterers to deliver nutritious school food.About You:We are looking for a motivated, experienced and resilient individual to work with schools, pupils, families, caterers, and other stakeholders across the borough of Southwark to improve the nutritional quality and take-up of school food.You must have strong commissioning, project management and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of different stakeholders.Additional Information: This is a fixed term/Secondment position for 2 years
Standard 36 hours, Monday - Friday
