This unique post is situated withing the Kent County Council Public Health Team with strong links to Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board, Community Pharmacy Kent (the LPC), and community pharmacies across Kent.The postholder will lead on the refresh and maintenance of the Kent Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment and will support the development of pharmacy-based health improvement in Kent at an exciting time of the delivery of the local Integrated Care Strategy.This is a fast-paced role where you will support high-level strategic developments as well as give hands-on advice to Consultants of Public Health and Commissioners. You will also support the work of the Public Health Quality Committee that oversees the improvement of quality assurance processes.Our vision is to improve the lives of our residents and to reduce inequalities. Pharmacies play an essential role in this by providing access to health care to residents. Your role, focusing on Pharmacists and pharmaceutical expertise will contribute significantly to this overall vision.You will be an excellent partnership worker, both relationship and outcome focused, with experience of working with a range of stakeholders. You will have a qualification as a pharmacist with significant experience at senior level and a working knowledge of public health.Although the role requires predominantly online working, you will also be able to attend meetings and visit pharmacies around Kent.If you are an experienced pharmacist and passionate about improving the lives of people in Kent, we want to hear from you.This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service. This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position.
