Pub Assistant Manager:

Based in Aston, Birmingham it is steeped in one hundred years of history, serving the local community with its warm hospitality. Now we have a fantastic opportunity to hire an experienced and charismatic Pub Assistant Manager.



You will have a proven track record in line managing and motivating staff through effective team leadership. A natural passion for people when enjoying being on the front line. You will have the drive and ambition to take the business forward by bringing your whole self to work and celebrating the skills and characteristics that make you unique, assisting with training, rotas, stock, and cost control.



The Successful Pub Assistant Manager will have:



Prior experience as a Pub Manager within a high-quality restaurant or bar.



Good understanding of cocktails, beers, and spirits, be outgoing, driven, and flexible.



Passion for beverages, food and hospitality, along with the eagerness to continually learn.



Eagerness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.



A creative approach with impeccable attention to detail.



Responsibilities



Supporting the pub owner in overseeing daily operations, including managing staff, inventory, and finances.



Managing and scheduling staff shifts, ensuring they are adequately trained, and managing performance.



Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised pub environment and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.



Assisting with the planning and execution of events and promotions to increase business.



Managing customer complaints and feedback, ensuring that their experience at the pub is positive.



Capable in managing any customer conflicts.



Ordering and managing inventory of food, drinks, and other supplies and ensuring that they are properly stored and rotated.



Monitoring sales and inventory levels and making recommendations for adjustments to pricing and menu offerings.



Assisting in the preparation and management of the budget and financial statements.



Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the pub and increase customer engagement.



Ensuring that the pub is operating smoothly and efficiently.



Managing staff, customer flow, and inventory to ensure that everything runs as planned.



Overseeing food preparation to ensure consistently high-quality



Resolving conflicts or disputes between customers



Ordering supplies for the establishment, including food, drink and condiments.



Personal Attributes



The ability to motivate a team by leading from the front.



A natural understanding of what hospitality is and how to deliver it.



Experience with booking live music and entertainment; events experience.



Knowledge of the local area and its patrons



Attention to detail and good admin.



Detailed understanding of a P&L



A zest for life



Some humour.



High volume experience

Salary:



£28,000 - £30,000
