A PT Lead Tutor is required to work in the Adult Learning Service. Two positions available (9 hours and 18 hours). To work under the general direction of the Curriculum Manager, participate in the planning, development implementation of curriculum delivery, including the Self-Assessment Report and Quality Improvement Plan. Contribute to service quality processes to manage and support progress and performance and teach a minimum of 874 (p/r) hours per academic year across the curriculum areas. You will be required to work evenings and occasional weekends.
Key responsibilities:
Comply with and assist in the further development of quality assurance standards for teaching and learning within the service, utilising resources, Individual Learning Plans, Initial and diagnostic assessments.
Support and mentor sessional tutors in their continuous professional development, ensuring that sessional tutors are adhering to service procedures and standards whilst supporting and motivate tutors to enhance their teaching and learning practice.
Contribute and support the production and implementation of the self-assessment report and quality improvement plan.
Responsible for the internal moderation and assessment of learners work.
Contribute to Adult Learning Service processes to monitor learner progression, achievement, retention and success rate and destination, ensuring quality assurance standards are adhered to.
Have responsibility and contribute to the review, planning and development of the curriculum including schemes of work and lesson planning.
Teach 874 hours per academic year minimum (pro-rata) on programmes at all levels delivering inspiring, challenging and well organised sessions that make up a quality learning experience that motivates and inspires learners to make sustained progress for their next steps.
Have responsibility for a theme or curriculum area as directed by the Curriculum Manger.
Design and develop and use teaching and learning materials to enhance and provide a quality learning experience for all learners.
