Psychology Graduates Wanted

Veritas Education are working with secondary schools in and around Hackney to help them meet their staffing needs. We have placed candidates as Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Teachers, Pastoral and behavioural management staff, among many others. The majority of our roles are until the end of the academic year with the view to go on to a permanent placement in September

We ask that you have a Psychology degree (minimum lower second), experience with secondary aged children in some capacity and an interest in working with children/young children

Required:

• A bachelor's degree in psychology or a related subject
• Interest in working with children (specifically with SEN)
• Experience working with secondary school children (age 11-16) in some capacity
• Right to work in the UK
• Either have or be willing to get an enhanced DBS on the update service, plus provide two references

Responsibilities:

Exact responsibilities will depend on role but may include:

• Working with children aged 11-16 operating classes in various subjects.
• Helping children with special educational needs
• Engaging with students for 4-5 periods
• Treating children with respect and kindness
