Are you an experienced Protein Characterisation Scientist looking for your next move within the life sciences?
We are currently looking for a Scientist to join the protein characterisation team of a leading life sciences company based in the Berkshire area. As the Scientist you will be responsible for several bio-analytical assay techniques and to develop and implement assays for new protein and biochemical analysis to support the development of novel protein therapeutics.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Perform analysis of protein therapeutics using sv-AUC
2. Hydrodynamic complex modelling
3. Maintaining accurate records and contribute to authorship of analytical aspects of regulatory submissions, technical procedures, protocols and reports
4. Assay and Instrument troubleshooting
5. Preparation of samples
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. BSc in a relevant scientific discipline (PhD desirable). Excellent knowledge of protein chemistry in a lab based environment.
2. Experience using analytical techniques such as Analytical Ultracentrifugation, HPLC, Spectroscopy
Previous exposure to SEDfit for data analysis is desirable
3. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders. Proactive and positive mindset with a passion for scientific research.
