Role: Protection Engineer
Location: Cumbria
Salary: £47,000 - £70,000
Morson Talent has a great opportunity for a Protection Engineer to join a company that is offering an excellent salary, career progression, and a benefits package. As a Protection Engineer, you will work with the Lead Protection Engineer and Commissioning Engineers to support the replacement, repair, and maintenance of the 11kV, 33kV, and 132kV Protection Systems.
Within This Protection Engineer Role, You Can Expect To:

• Be accountable for delivering protection maintenance programs at 11kV, 33kV, and 132kV
   Manage CI and CML risk on the 33/132kV network
• Undertake key measures (Performance Indicators)
• Observe Health and Safety targets, including lost-time accidents, near-miss reporting, and site safety audits
• Comply with company Codes of practice, Distribution Safety Rules, and CDM Regulations
Skills and Qualifications:
• HNC- level qualification in Electrical Engineering
• SAP authorization at 11kV, 33kV, and 132kV
• A degree-level qualification in electrical engineering (preferred)
• An understanding of protection systems and project management skills
