Proposal Manager Application Deadline: 19 May 2024Department: SalesEmployment Type: ContractLocation: Remote USCompensation: $50.00 - $55.00 / hourDescriptionFORWARD’s Proposal Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the proposal development and submission process. As a member of a swiftly growing company this critical position is part of our Growth Team which drives strategic growth and business development for the company.Responsibilities
The Proposal manager is responsible for the end-to-end coordination, management, and submission of proposals in a Contractual (1099 Role) capacity:
Offer creative solutions to support proposal pursuit strategies
Read and assess bid solicitations, attend pre-bid meetings, and provide analysis and recommendations in the bid/no-bid decision meetings
Research information about requestors, competitors and the marketplace
Write competitive, compliant, and responsive proposal drafts
Collaborate with the Proposal Coordinators to manage feedback, editing, and approval process
Prepare submission outlines, compliance checklist,
business documents and budgets
Proofread and ensure compliance with formatting guidelines
Submit final approved proposals
Support follow up interviews
Lead debrief sessions after submission/bid award
Follow the proposal management process, tools, and templates; incorporate learning from previous submissions
Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality proposals
Manage time-sensitive projects simultaneously
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and minimum of 5 years of proposal development experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience with public sector proposal writing Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Foundation level certified or higher, or certification from a similar proposal professional organization (i.e. Shipley) (desired)
Demonstrated experience working within a tech-startup and/or small business environment
Experience using business development tools such as Govwin, Salesforce and RFPIO
Highly solution-oriented
Creative problem solving
Exceptional writer and storyteller
Ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented and organized
Excellent editing, formatting, and communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and prioritize workload
