Universal Destinations & Experiences provides world-class entertainment destinations with signature theme parks that create unparalleled entertainment.Job DescriptionReporting to the Marketing, PR & Communications Director this role supports proactive and reactive promotional partnerships across EMEA to drive awareness of Universal Destinations & Experiences – primarily Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood - leading to increased sales in holiday packages and an increase in ticket penetration. Additionally, the position will support the Marketing, PR & Communications Director on NBCUniversal Symphony promotional efforts on an ad-hoc basis.Overall purpose: To support the development of a comprehensive and aligned strategic promotions plan, laddering up to the overarching strategic priorities, with market relevance, generating meaningful and commercially viable earned media campaigns.RESPONSIBILITIESPlanning and Research (25%)Supporting the delivery of business objectives by helping to develop the overall promotions plan across a vast array of partnerships with like-minded brands including, but not limited to, TV, radio, online, print, FMCG, retail, social and NBCUniversal internal brands in the EMEA regionEffectively balance short-term promotional efforts with further-out planning; enhance future campaigns through ongoing analysis and learnings of previous initiativesProduce documents which recommend new promotional campaigns and identify story telling approach based on core business strategy, current market conditions and the audience segment of the promotional partnerPresent new Promotional campaigns to wider US team in order to secure leadership buy-in for security of budget and team resourcingAssist the Marketing, PR & Communications Director in working with compliance and legal to ensure brand, business and IP integrity and process adherenceCreative Delivery (25%)Work closely with Marketing, PR & Communications Director on delivery of campaigns, including promotional broadcast shoots (TV, radio and online) from concept to implementationFocus on delivering campaigns to budget and to set timelinesBalance complex creative requirements, satisfying campaign strategy whilst also factoring in promotional partner brand needs, IP guidelines and legal requirements Successful balance & representation of destination/product offering, based on strategic objective and context (e.g. audience & medium)Keeps clear sight of creative production timings, securing timely stakeholder approvals and proactively plans contingencies to remove risk where possibleReporting & Tracking (10%)Devise reports, presentations and PCA’s to analyse campaign performance, key learnings and best practice moving forwardAll promotions to be tracked in key strategic planning documents, utilized on a weekly basis and shared with the wider promotional team Competitor (5%)Monitor daily news, travel market trends, along with competitor promotional activity and threats to build out contingencies and protect the EMEA businessOther (10%)Manage daily correspondence; assess opportunities and other duties as requiredOther key ResponsibilitiesAdhering to Universal brand guidelines and legal requirements in both 3rd party and/or in-house creativeConduct external meetings in order to strengthen current promotional partnerships, or establish new relationshipsInternal Operations/ Relationship ManagementAssisting Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood personnel in the delivery of promotional activities, all relevant information and requests for the UK/EMEA markets are sent in a clear and timely fashionCollaborate with internal US promotional and Symphony teams to share both market updates and best practicesCollaborate with EMEA PR team on joint partnership campaigns that involve both disciplines QualificationsAbout YouAdaptable, agile & flexible – able to pivot quickly, adapt strategies and deal with changePassionate about travel, promotions, brand management and consumer behaviour;
