Summary:
We have a fantastic opportunity for aProject Support Officer to join us in a permanent role, working as part of our Data and Statistics team, dedicated to identifying the data collection requirements on which the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) bases its regulation of the social housing sector.
Working in a hybrid fashion and out of one of our offices in Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester or Bristol, you’ll join our team to help deliver our expanding data collection needs, working to ensure quality in our data and publications and liaising directly with registered providers to chase and query incoming data.
Job Description:
As a Project Support Officer in the Data Team you will work to support the delivery of our surveys collecting information from registered providers. You’ll also play a key role in the maintenance of the data collection system (NROSH+), working to ensure user and contact information remains updated and dealing directly with providers to query missing or inaccurate data. This is an exciting opportunity to support the development of the system and surveys, engaging with registered providers and providing them with support and guidance in the submission of their data.
You’ll also support the team of analysts within the data team to deliver the wider programme of work, which provides high quality statistical and financial data to front line regulation staff. You will have the opportunity to analyse and interrogate incoming data from the returns, developing your analytical skills alongside a team of analysts, as well as providing project administration and support in future development work for both the suite of surveys collected and the digital applications used to collect data and information.
This can be a full-time, permanent position, but compressed hours, part-time hours and other flexible ways of working will be considered.
Responsibilities:
As the successful candidate, you will be skilled in project support, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a keen analytical mind and good attention to detail. You will bring experience of customer engagement and in project support techniques.With a strong intellect and sound literacy and numeracy skills you will be able to relate and respond effectively to a wide range of service users and to explain technical information to non-specialists.

Location
We operate a hybrid model of working with a mix of office and home working.
This role can be based out of any of RSH’s core offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol. Our Manchester office will be relocating during 2024/25, however will remain within the city centre. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements and staff can benefit from working from home for part of their hours. Most roles involve some travel within England between our offices, with some roles also involving onsite visits to social housing providers.

The salary for this role is a spot salary within the given range, which will normally be the minimum of the range. There is no incremental progression through a pay scale. Annual salary reviews are determined by the government pay award. In addition, when the probation period is successfully completed, a performance related bonus may be awarded, based on appraisal ratings at the end of the qualifying appraisal year.
