Project Mechanical Engineer

Position : Project Mechanical Engineer

Location : North West Manchester (commutable from Warrington, Wigan, Bolton and Bury)

Salary : �30,000 - �40,000

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join an innovative international business where you will be able to make a real contribution from day one with both the validation and development of new products. The chosen candidate will travel Internationally to clients around the globe, so this is not the opportunity for those who want to be at their desks all day every day. The incumbent will be expected to gain hands-on experience in the field and the role will be physically demanding at times.

Main duties:

• Create design drawings in Solidworks (products, materials test samples, custom testing equipment etc)
• CFD and FEA simulations
• Product improvement via design changes
• Occasional travel in the UK and abroad as and when required to monitor field tests of tools (usually not more than three trips abroad per year)
• Deal with distributors' orders for the European market, provide technical information to clients (not sales)
• Assist with any other work within the UK team

About you:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering/
• Must have worked with Solidworks for at least 2 years
• 2-5 years work experience
• IT skills and generally affiliated with technology
• UK work permit
• UK driver's licence, car owner
• Willingness to travel
• Candidates must be strong and physically fit
