Project Manager

One of the UK's largest privately owned Contractors have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join their North West office. The first project will be a Healthcare scheme in Cheshire involving refurbishment of a 'live' hospital.

The Project manager will hold full responsibility for the management and delivery of the project, from pre-construction through to on site delivery.

The Project Manager role will include:

• Help develop the projects main works programme and ensure that no work commences on site until the health and safety policy and the relevant construction phase plan is in place.
• Provide leadership and support to all Employees and help to develop people within your Team
• Comply with the requirements of the company's Quality Procedure and Manual
• Manage all sub-contractors and supply chain effectively
• Ensure best practices and quality are being maintained
• Be proactive in the identification and resolution of problems
• Ensuring the project runs to program and budget
• Work closely and liaise as required with the design team
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the client and their representative
• To monitor the progress of the project and manage issues as they arise

Knowledge skills & experience

• Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering a range of projects at Project Manager level
• Experience of successfully delivering refurbishment and new build projects within 'live environments'
• Experience of Project Planning
• Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills
• Strong Commercial awareness
