One of the UK's largest privately owned Contractors have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join their North West office. The first project will be a Healthcare scheme in Cheshire involving refurbishment of a 'live' hospital.
The Project manager will hold full responsibility for the management and delivery of the project, from pre-construction through to on site delivery.
The Project Manager role will include:
- Help develop the projects main works programme and ensure that no work commences on site until the health and safety policy and the relevant construction phase plan is in place.
- Provide leadership and support to all Employees and help to develop people within your Team
- Comply with the requirements of the company's Quality Procedure and Manual
- Manage all sub-contractors and supply chain effectively
- Ensure best practices and quality are being maintained
- Be proactive in the identification and resolution of problems
- Ensuring the project runs to program and budget
- Work closely and liaise as required with the design team
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the client and their representative
- To monitor the progress of the project and manage issues as they arise
Knowledge skills & experience
- Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering a range of projects at Project Manager level
- Experience of successfully delivering refurbishment and new build projects within 'live environments'
- Experience of Project Planning
- Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills
- Strong Commercial awareness
