We have an excellent new opportunity for a PROJECT MANAGER (Civil bias) to join our Clients project in West Cumbria.
The successful Candidate will be responsible for delivering a specific area of the project (to be determined based on experience), reporting to the Senior Project Manager.
This role will also interact with multiple contractors, requiring a great degree of self and time management. Interfaces with appropriate personnel on the project team.
The Project Manager will have the ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, have high levels of drive and motivation, and prioritise their workload efficiently, which will be crucial to succeeding in this role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
As a Project Manager you will ensure that projects are delivered within the given timescales and budgets, and to the required quality.
Your duties will include, although not be limited to:
Support the Senior Project Manager in development & monitoring of progress.
Attendance at stakeholder meetings, supporting forward planning in readiness for project delivery.
Attend walkdowns and working closely with the sub-contractors ensure enabling documentation is in place for projects to progress into the construction phase.
Lead progress meetings with Sub-Contractors to monitor and discuss progress
Attend Client progress meetings
Awareness of CDM regs within the nuclear industry and implement on all construction tasks.
Close liaison with the site delivery team and identify and manage specifically those areas that represent significant risk to the Project Work in a highly regulated environment
Other duties as deemed necessary to facilitate successful Project delivery
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Security Cleared to SC level, or the ability to obtain such clearance.
Sole British Citizenship and not have worked outside the UK for the past 5 years.
Degree qualified or equivalent (NVQ/QBE)
APMQ and/or Project Delivery Experience
Knowledge of Project management in a Nuclear Environment and NEC3 contracts preferred
Experience of new build projects (Traditional build or Modular)
Proven team working and people management skills
Good stakeholder and Client management skills
Client and customer focused and able to demonstrate evidence of successful collaboration
High levels of self-motivation and drive
