Project Manager
The Project Manager's role is to deliver the refinery enabling works for the Transformation Projects - HPP1, CHP etc.
These works initially include planning for, and relocating, the current site contractors' compound, removal of the existing compound and relocating utilities and other refinery services
Accountabilities -
Accountable for managing a portfolio of transformation enabling works projects to efficiently deliver the agreed scope safely, on time and within budget with no environmental incidents. This includes :
• Managing a multi-disciplinary teams in the execution of the enabling works projects. Immediate direct reports will be 2 Project Engineers.
• Working largely under his/her own initiative, consulting with the Head of Projects only in more complex and sensitive issues.
• Working closely with customers, third parties, statutory bodies and other stakeholders to ensure that customer requirements are met in the most cost-effective way.
• Working in accordance with well-established project processes, which incorporate the latest Manufacturing HSE Management Plans.
• Providing engineering support to projects in own discipline.
• Ensuring effective and timely handover and close out the time critical enabling works projects.
Experience & Qualifications -
Candidates should have a Graduate Engineering qualification
Candidates must have significant relevant Petrochemical / Refinery experience, preferably in a project team (or similar activity).
Demonstrate communication and team leadership skills essential.
Sound understanding of Safety and Quality management systems and procedures.
Proven performance as a team player and leader.
