Candidate specification:
The Project Manager will play an important part in managing and delivering e-learning projects to agreed budget and schedule; this involves working closely with project sponsors to define scope and project deliverables and liaising with a variety of contributors and regular freelancers such as clinical leads, learning technologist, programme managers, educators, instructional designers, publication department, medical writers and many others. To do so, they will need to be confident in their stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly when liaising with volunteer contributors such as top surgeons and medical experts.
You should have a proven track record in project management, preferably in publishing, e-learning or educational content, and show an understanding of the pedagogical approach to digital learning and online courses. We are also looking for familiarity with project management methodologies such as Prince2 or Agile, and the ability to write progress reports, and to use data effectively to solve problems.
The role:
Reporting into the Learning Innovation Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of project planning for assigned courses and special projects within the learning innovation and operation teams. This will involve defining deliverables, resource allocation, and budgeting, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans and maintaining relevant documentation.
You'll also coordinate working groups and manage resource procurement, ensuring successful project execution. A key part of the role will be around project communication, as you'll devise stakeholder engagement strategies and facilitate clear communication channels throughout the project lifecycle.
