Job Title: Project ManagerLocation: PortsmouthSalary: 70,000 - 75,000 + Car allowance + Pension + HolidayStart Date: May OR June A medium-sized main contractor, based on the South Coast, specialises in commercial, industrial & public sector work covering projects across Hampshire, Dorset, and West Sussex. With a recent win of a 12 million industrial / commercial project in portsmouth. they are actively seeking an experienced project managerRole Overview:As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the successful execution of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.Key Responsibilities:Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and maintaining strong relationships.Monitor project progress, identify and address potential roadblocks, and implement effective solutions to ensure timely completion.Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimise project-related risks.Regularly communicate project status, milestones, and key updates to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and managing expectations.Ensure compliance with industry regulations, building codes, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.Conduct comprehensive project evaluations, identify areas for improvement, and implement lessons learned in future projects.Qualifications and Skills:Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, codes, regulations, and safety practices.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Solid organisational and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.Proficient in project management softwareHow to applyIf you would like more information on this role then contact James Mitchell on Apply online only or click on the link & submit your up-to-date CV.Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
