Here at Theo James Recruitment, we working alongside a well established solar company in the Washington area who are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join their existing team!



The Role:



You will be responsible for successful project management execution of solar and renewable energy projects. The role involves commercial and technical project controls, risk management and project leadership. You will manage several projects, from inception through to client handover. This role will involve travel to client sites, both within the North East region and across the UK.



KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Take an active role in the related tender, contract, and procurement process for our projects.

  • Be responsible for project deliverables and full project lifecycle.

  • Be actively involved in the related tender, contract and procurement process for projects.

  • Coordinating project related activities such as site set-up, monitoring and handover

  • Coordination of projects involving multiple contractors.

  • Carrying out risk assessments and assessing activities involving work on electrical systems.

  • Knowledge of renewable energy technology or electrical equipment preferred.

  • Creation of project H&S documentation.

  • Management of CDM activities ensure projects are delivered in-line with legislation.

  • Taking responsibility for project actions, disseminating, and tracking to ensure on time completion.



QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:



ESSENTIAL:




  • Qualification in Project Management for example APM or Prince2

  • Health and Safety management qualification for example IOSH

  • Proven experience within a project management role

  • Full UK driving licence



DESIRABLE:




  • Experience of working within the Renewable energy or power generation industry

  • Knowledge of generation connection

  • NEBOSH qualified
