Description
Here at Marlborough Highways we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our fantastic team, with a strong background in highways, construction or utilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering successful projects, building and maintaining effective teams, as well as leading others, supporting and driving training and development.
Key Responsibilities
To represent the company in the delivery of projects
To ensure the delivery of all works safely
Responsible for agreeing project targets in accordance with objectives with Contracts Director/Manager for all elements of the project
Accountable for managing, building, developing and supporting the wider team
Must build and maintain good relationships with the client, as well as all internal and external stakeholders
Build and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Monitor progress with up to date programmes so that timely and clear direction can be given to the team on critical contract/financial targets
Responsible for the development, management and maintenance of the Site Management Plan
Identifying and evaluating risks, determining and managing actions and maintaining Risk Register
Responsible for managing and controlling changes to scope, requirements, personnel etc
Accountable for monitoring progress against cost plans, programmes and quality/environmental plans
Manage all stakehlder engagement
Develop and protect our subcontractor relationships
Prepare and present project reports
Liaise with line management regarding approvals and decisions at key stages within project
Responsible for preparing and maintaining project information
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Proven technical and project management abilities
Strong organisational and management skills
Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations
Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work
Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment
Sufficient experience required in construction/highways
