If so, we have a role that could very well be of interest to you!We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to be based in the Norwich area, working with this well known contractor on a major civils scheme. This contractor deals with all aspects of civil engineering - highways, water, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works. Therefore, we are looking for Project Managers who have a highways background.You will be responsible for:Being heavily involved in the pre-construction stage of projectsFully understanding designSupervising all subcontract and direct labour and technical staffPlanning, scheduling, procuring and delivering the project effectively, often to a tight scheduleManaging all health and safetyLiaising with the client team and consultantsIdentify what the client wants to achieveAgree timescales, costs and resources needed, with the client Drawing up a detailed plan of
how to achieve each stage of the project, as well as an overall planEnsure a project team is in place and manage that team throughout the progress of the whole projectEnsure that each stage of the project is progressing on time and on budget and identify any issues that may prevent this from happeningResponsible for reporting regularly on the progress of the project to the client and/or to the senior managersWorking to the contract (NEC)Requirements:Degree / HND in Civil EngineeringExcellent organisational, planning and time management skills Attention to detail Excellent communication and negotiation skills A good understanding of budget control The ability to lead a team and work well with othersGood IT skillsNEC Contract experienceBenefits:Salary £55,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience) + packageRandstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
