Job DescriptionProject Manager - apps /websites / databases / social enterprise - is required by highly successful and purpose driven global organisation.This key role will manage the planning and timely delivery of IT projects, specifically apps, websites and databases, with their International Development team. Working with the teams in the UK and in India, you will manage projects on time and to budget using Scrum methodology, balancing the priorities with the resources available.WHAT YOU’LL DO• Responsible for the management of new and on-going projects to enhance their platforms and products, from initiation through to launch• Responsible for the co-ordination and management of IT Development teams working in a Scrum environment• Keep records of all meetings and maintain all project-related documentation• Liaise with IT staff (in the UK or in our Regional Centres) or external vendors to agree schedules and priorities• Produce and manage project budgetsABOUT YOUYou will have at least three years of project management experience working with IT platforms, preferably web based.Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver a defined set of outcomes and objectives.You will also be able to contribute to the product development and innovation processes through your knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, digital publishing technologies and the potential they offer.The candidate should be capable of working across multiple projects at any time and be able to understand the business drivers and priorities.Education & Qualifications• Degree or equivalent experience; a science-based background would be an advantage• Project Management qualifications preferable, but not essentialExperience• Use of project management software and documentation, managing projects in an Agile environment, preferably Scrum• 3+ years of project management experience in a digital environment• Good understanding of a range of IT systems and project management tools• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Familiarity with databases, web & content platforms, XML and workflow management• Good organisational skills with clear evidence of managing large workloads• Good time management skillsPersonal Characteristics• Organised and self-disciplined, a planner• Strong time-management skills• Team worker with flexible and pragmatic approach• Outgoing, confident personality• Good judgement and decision making skills• Self-motivation and dedication• Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure• Positive attitudeWelcoming environment and collaborative team based approach.Basic salary £45-55,000 + excellent benefitsBased 1 day per week in Wallingford, 4 days remote
