We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual with a strong project background to join this fast-paced team to deliver the more complex highways and technology schemes throughout their whole project lifecycle. Schemes range in value from £20k to £4m+ and include mechanical and electrical, street lighting, road markings, signs, fencing and barriers, drainage, safety schemes, environmental improvements, technology schemes, structures, remedial works and junction improvement schemes.Role responsibilities:Responsible for a number of projects at different stages of the project lifecycleWithin each project responsibility for:End to end management of the project, to include scheme development and engagement through the life of the project with the asset team, designers, sub-consultants, construction team and contractorsLiaise with key internal and external stakeholders to include but not limited to Planner, Construction Manager, Project QS, Asset and Designers.Management of the P6 programme with the planning team, including identification of critical path activitiesCommercial management of the project to include but not limited to cost plan, supply chain quotations, review and approval of invoices, forecasting, review of applications with the commercial teamCommission and manage internal and external resources in terms of quality, budget and programme.Lead on Gateways and collaborative cost reviews with the Client and project team.Adhere and apply the project governance procedure, including leading in presentations both virtual and in person with preparation of the supporting documentation to pass through project gatewaysRoutine reporting on project schedule / progress, risk and commercial status of the project internally and to the ClientEngage in the Collaborative M25 Community, including Balance Scorecards, forums and workshops as required.Support the delivery of the business’ Sustainability activities and business plan objectives.Live the Connect Plus ValuesWorking arrangementsAbility and willingness to travel to other offices for meetings on the network as and when requiredPeriodic requirement for site visits (night shift H&S audit)Full Driving LicenseQualifications/ skills:Project Management Experience preferably supported by recognised Project Management qualification, PRINCE2, APMP etcPreference of minimum degree qualification and membership of appropriate professional institution or working towards such qualificationBroad skills, knowledge and understanding of Highway or Structures Engineering and associated design areasKnowledge of CDM and other H&S and Environmental legislation related to Highway EngineeringKnowledge of the NEC (New Engineering Contract) and other relevant forms of contractPersonal Attributes:Proactive problem solvingExcellent communication and collaboration skillsStrong safety management cultureAbility to prioritise and self-manageSelf aware and adaptable style to meet varying project needsDemonstration of commitment to ongoing personal development via CPDGood organisational skillsAbout Us:CPS is a joint Venture project with Balfour Beatty, AtkinsRéalis, and Egis. We operate and maintain the M25.The M25 is the busiest section of motorway in Europe and requires careful and efficient planning of work in order to deliver over £100m of annual investment in the highway infrastructure each year, in addition to planned and reactive maintenance activity.If you have or are looking for a career in Highways, working on the M25 will give you experience and challenge that no other highways project can offerLocation:This is a hybrid role designed to fully maximize team collaboration on the project.
