Project Manager

Are you an experienced Site Agent looking for the next step up to Project manager, running your own jobs, or maybe you're a project manager already but looking for a change and a new challenge? Do you have a background in working on civil engineering and infrastructure schemes? If so this opportunity maybe right for you! My client are a large contractor working on a significant infrastructure scheme in Somerset. Due to growth in turnover and projects they are looking for a Civils biased Project Manager to join their business. They have an excellent reputation in their market not only for their completed projects but also for staff satisfaction and retention levels. Successful applicants will have a proven track record in project delivery within projects including earthworks, deep drainage, tunnelling or piling. You will be running a large, complex and interesting scheme in Somerset, with a full site team including site engineer, agent, qs as well as subcontractor labour too. Ideally you will have worked on large infrastructure project, eg roads, tunnels, earthworks projects previously and be comfortable working on a multifaceted scheme. The successful applicant will report into the Senior Management Team and be responsible for managing the site team on the project as well as ensuring profitability of the scheme and completion dates are adhered to. Further duties include,Financial control of contractsManaging and monitoring sub-contractorsPlacing sub-contractLiaison with the clients representativesIdentifying resource needs for projectProgramming and planning of the projectOverseeing design and finding solutions to issuesImplementation of company safety, health and environmental policiesCandidate RequirementsIdeally will hold a Civil Engineering or related Degree or HNCBe able to display previous experience in a similar roleComputer literateProven track record using cost management systems.Demonstrate good document control, record keeping and reporting skills.Established project planning and organisational capabilitiesHold a valid full UK driving licenceIf this exciting opportunity sounds like something you'd like to know some more about, then do apply to the advert with a copy of CV asap.
