Project Manager - Pipe laying

Working for a Tier 1 contractor involved with a 5-year asset maintenance program, upgrading the existing pipeline infrastructure.

Projects will be across various Counties including:

Location: Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and South Wales

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 basic + Car + Package

Role Description

The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a Tier 1 contractor who has been awarded a 5 year Asset Management framework to replace various Mains & Pipelines across the West Midlands to Wales region.

As the Project Manager you will be overseeing the day to day management of the site, from the stakeholder management through to the site managers running the projects. With the pipelines stretching through residential, Industrial and green areas you maybe managing multiple packages of works across different terrains. With day to day duties varying accordingly but could include:

• Development and implementation of Safety documentation including Health and Safety Plans, Method Statements and Risk Assessments
• Monitor performance of site staff with respect to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment
• Ensure full compliance on projects with all industry legislation, guidance and best practice
• Client liaison including arranging progress meetings, pre-start meetings and client audits
• Implementation of appropriate contractual change control, ensuring the capture of cost value reconciliation and, programme and quality impacts
• Planning and programming of current and future works
• Subcontractor procurement and monitoring

This role is a Monday to Friday, days based position with travel as required to the different locations but aim for no more than 1 hour with in the project's regions. Hence its very important you live in and around the West Midlands to South Wales area.

You also need to have experience of the utilities sector be it Water or Gas pipelines, understanding the project from planning (Streetworks) through to project delivery and potential delays that may occur.

Qualifications / Experience

• Degree or related subject in regard to Site Management.
• Experience as a Project Manager in the Utilities sector on Pipe laying contracts.
• Full driving licence as you will need to drive to rural locations
