Your New Team You will be a part of European Energy UK Limited, consisting of 16 colleagues working principally from our office in Glasgow. You will also work closely with our HQ in Copenhagen, Denmark, specifically with the EPC Department.We are a committed and motivated team where knowledge sharing, trust, and open dialogues describe the very core of our collaboration. Our project pipeline in the UK is in rapid growth, and you will be hands-on in many technical, organizational, and commercial aspects with the opportunity to develop professionally and take on more responsibility over time. Your New Role As our new Project Manager, EPC Construction, you will play an important role in delivering utility-scale solar (PV) projects in the UK. In due course, we also expect the delivery of energy storage, onshore wind, and Power-to-X projects to form part of the UK portfolio.Working within the structure of the newly released European Energy Project Management Model (PMM) you will receive projects once they have passed each stage gate (received planning consent, grid/land agreements secured, strategy defined for offtake and financing). You will be responsible and accountable for projects during structuring and construction phases, before handing over asset management. This will include working with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and manage the different structuring and construction activities.You will be responsible for QHSE, risk management, timeline management, cost management, supplier management, contractual management, reporting, and the general compliance of the projects. An important part of this position also entails applying any lesson learned and continuously optimizing, and streamlining our project management processes. You will see yourself in an environment with many interesting tasks. You have solid interpersonal skills to negotiate with local suppliers, service providers, and communicate with stakeholders such as subcontractors, lenders, off-takers, etc. Areas of Responsibilities Collaborate within cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, contractors, and the risk team, to maintain the highest standards of H&S and Quality on the projectWork within the EE PMM structure and help support the rollout and implementation of newly developed procedures and processesDrive EPC activities and deliverables (Grid, Design, Structural, Electrical, Procurement), chair regular team meetings and ensure minutes and actions are issuedFinancial management of projects and approvals of invoicesWork closely with the construction team and conduct site visits before and during construction to monitor construction progress, identify risks, and meet contractorsEnsure compliance with the various permits, land leases, grid connection, finance, off taker and other agreements in line with key performance indicators, performance monitoring systems, output specifications and contractual requirementsConstruction, Sponsor, PPA, Off-taker, and SPV Reporting as required by the project agreements (progress, CAPEX, risks, HSE) Your Profile You have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent experienceYou have a proven track record of project management with experience in grid connected solar projects during the construction phaseYou have strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety Legislation and have training at NEBOSH or IOSH levelYou are fluent in English, both verbally and in writingYou have a valid UK driving licenseYou are willing to travel throughout the UK (primarily) and to our head office in Denmark (periodically)You can work remotely & independently and be self-motivated within a supportive & collaborative companyYou are a creative problem solverYou have a proactive and diligent approachYou can balance quality in the context of time & cost pressure.
