Overview

Our Leicester based clients are looking for a Retail POS Project Manager to oversee and take control of the design, production and delivery of a variety of Retail POS solutions working with a variety of brands across the cosmetic and beauty industries.

The role requires someone specifically with a POS background who is experienced in and takes ownership of projects dealing with every detail from start to finish, within budget, on time and of the exceptional quality expected from the clients. They will be required to work in a flexible way, familiar and comfortable working within a busy fast paced and changing environment.

The role

• Managing ongoing projects, working through any obstacles, meeting deadlines and ensuring that projects remain on schedule/target from concept to delivery


• Supporting and leading the Project Management team, ensuring tasks are assigned, risks and opportunities are identified, changes are made and information is shared with other Project Managers and the wider team.


• Working with Design teams and Account Managers, leading regular meetings with clients, production, design and development, sales, logistics, project management, pre-production and finance share regular updates.


• Providing exceptional client support in conjunction with other departments


• Working on multiple projects simultaneously


• Preparing schedules and work plans for the production teams anticipating challenges and problems within manufacturing of the project


• Providing status reports for the client and other internal teams.�

Skills

• Good solid Project Management experience or transferrable industry experience is essential


• Excellent understanding of manufacturing and materials


• Strives and meets tight deadlines


• Managing ongoing projects, working through any obstacles, meeting deadlines and ensuring that projects remain on target from concept to delivery


• Excellent communication in all aspects (written, communication and verbally) able to clearly and concisely communicate and present information to both internal teams and clients


• Strong technical skills which will come from Project Management and/or Design, engineering, estimating experience.


• Able to read, understand and breakdown CAD drawings


• Gets stuck in and able to work in a flexible way in order to successfully deliver projects, hands on when required
