Project Manager (Pre Construction)

We are working with a multi-million-pound main contractor based in East Anglia currently looking for a Project Manager with a Pre Construction bias. Our Client are a well rounded main contractor with a strong portfolio across education, healthcare, student accommodation and residential schemes up to �50million.

As Project Manager you will be responsible for�design development, coordinator and management of the design teams, logistic planning and project programming.�The majority of the projects are two-stage tenders or negotiated so experience of getting these projects to site would be ideal.

You will be working within a team of design managers, tsm's, estimators and planners.

Ideal candidates for this position will be experienced from a construction management background, a planning or design background and be looking for more a front end type role.

Duties will include:

• Manage the project development process during the tender stage, from tender to commencement on site, including managing the consultants.


• Understanding the design brief


• Chair design development meetings during the tender process


• Develop the programming of Construction projects using Powerproject (Asta)


• Assist in the procurement processes for Preferred Contractor Suppliers

Skills:

• Experienced using Bluebeam or 4Projects


• Programming of Construction using Powerproject (Asta)


• Have an understanding of different Client procurement routes


• Good construction knowledge, being able to problem solve and offer alternative options.
