Technical Training Services provide engineering training services to NATS' operational engineers (those engineers that install, maintain, and fix the equipment used by air traffic control). We have just embarked on a project to transform the training organisation; through introducing improved tools and processes that allow us to become more customer centric as well as changing how we deliver our training.

The PM will need to ensure we maximise the utilisation of our resources and deliver on time/budget. Due to the increased complexity we now need to start to introduce a degree of governance into the project.

We are looking for an experienced, flexible, and hard-working PM, who has worked in learning design/delivery and has experience with both agile and waterfall. We are looking for a person with a 'can do' attitude who is happy to do some of the doing as well as managing the project. We are a hard-working team, who are very passionate about delivering what we are tasked with. We need help to add structure to what we are doing to ensure we optimise our performance and meet our objectives.

What we are looking for

We need someone with strong relationships building skills, who can pro-actively unblock challenges that come our way, pro-actively manages risk, and creates a solid delivery plan. And someone who takes true ownership and makes a real difference.

Key tasks include;

  • Plan / Implement & manage the project plan
  • Resource planning
  • Introduce governance / reporting structure / quality control
  • Monitor progress
  • Risk management
  • Effective stakeholder management
  • Day-to-day management of the project team
  • Focus on CI
  • Provide support where required across the team (=flexibility).
