Equal Resourcing is hiring a Civils Project Manager on a permanent basis for our client, a large construction organisation based in the Hampshire area.
You MUST have a solid work history of working within the construction environment with a focus on civil engineering and groundworks.
YOUR NEW ROLE
*
You will oversee projects from conception through to completion, this will include defects period
*
Monitor and oversee Site Manager and their projects
*
Visiting all projects that are relevant to you
*
Production of programme of works for projects (master programmes to individual work task items)
*
Progress reports - produce and present to design team & clients at the monthly meetings
*
Compile, review, distribution and recording of: Architect’s Instructions, Requests for Information and Request for Variations or Instructions
*
Check and sign off on weekly paperwork returned from site
*
Highlight any problems
*
Issuing, checking and chasing drawings and details sent for approval by subcontractors and suppliers
*
Planning critical dates with the site team for works on projects and organising labour
*
Review RAMS that are submitted by contractors and make sure they comply with the site construction phase health and safety plans
*
Ensure Site Managers have the appropriate health and safety information from contracts prior to their works commencing
*
Produce and compile health and safety plans and develop with the Site Manager throughout the project
*
Advise and guide site managers, subcontractors, designers and operatives with work on projects
*
Arrange and chair pre contract meetings - this will be with both suppliers and subcontractors
*
At the end of each project carry out project reviews (site managers and contracts director) including performance reviews of subcontractors and suppliers
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
*
Knowledge and understanding of the construction industry
*
Civils and Groundworks experience - MUST have
*
Utilities experience - ADVANTAGEOUS
*
Be able to read architectural drawings
*
Construct accurate and realistic construction programmes
*
Managing and mentoring junior members of the team
*
Hold valid UK driving licence
